I (Jackie, Co-Founder) first learned about B Corps while working in social impact a number of years ago, and since then, have had a goal to create a brand that would uphold B Corp’s values.
B Corp stands for Benefit Corporation. Becoming a B Corp means that your company meets high standards for social and environmental impact, and is dedicated to using its business to have a positive effect on the world beyond just financial gain. The process to become certified is a rigorous one, covering an in-depth analysis of business operations across governance, community, environment, customers and supply chain.
It does not mean we are perfect, rather it shows our intention and impact to date around building a business that views people and the planet as key stakeholders
B Lab’s Theory of Change is that by mobilizing businesses around stakeholder governance, racial equity, and climate justice, we will move towards a more equitable and regenerative economic system that benefits all.
We’re happy to celebrate this achievement with our community and are looking forward to continuing to build a business that services both people and the planet.
